Today Is The First Day Of Ramadan 2015

Join us today for a month of special, focused prayer 
for the Muslim world during the Islamic holy month 
of Ramadan!

The day has arrived! Tonight, while most of my American readers are in church, the Islamic holy month of Ramadan begins. This month is the most important as they will be dedicating themselves to very serious and focused prayer for the next thirty days. The Muslim heart yearns for the reality of a relationship with God, although they don't know the true and living God. 

It is for this reason that we have asked you to join us in prayer. I know that God is reaching for the hearts of Muslims.  He wants to save and deliver from 1,400 years of darkness. Muhammad knew Christians in his day. The problem is that most of those he knew were either of various heretical branches, or, they had lost the real presence of the Lord through a ritualized religion that never satisfies. 

Because of his misunderstanding about the beliefs of Christians, Islam is designed in many ways to counter Christianity. The most basic and precious doctrines of the New Testament have been rejected by Islam. The true nature of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has been denied. In fact, to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He is divine, the second member of the Trinity, is the worst sin that you can commit according to Islam.

While this is discouraging, the fact is that since Islam was wrong in its assumption of what true Christians believed, it gives great opportunity to challenge Muslims with the truth. Since they are searching for nearness to God in this very month, it opens their hearts more than at any other time to consider the message of salvation. 

It gives true believers the wonderful opportunity to share with them and tell them of the power of Christ to change a life. They believe Jesus was a great man. They believe He was sinless and a worker of miracles. But that is about all they know. When you personally can share with them what He has done in your life, that is evidence that is hard to deny!
