Rainfall and Gospel Tracts

Soggy Streets
My second day in a new city and I need to get to the airport. How do you do that? To be more specific, how do you do that when streets are flooded, tens of thousands are isolated and cut off, roads are washed away, and no taxis can be found? Easy — just wait! Waiting did pay off. Of course, what was the alternative?!!!!  I finally made it in time for my flight to be delayed for about 6 hours.

Adding misery to the filth in the streets of India.
Yes, southern India is being lashed by rains and flooding. Tropical depressions in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea have been working together to send more rain in 3-4 days than some areas received throughout the entire period of the normal rainy system. Thousands of people were cut off from food and clean water by monstrous amounts of rain. Things are only now beginning to settle.

Pray for India.  These kinds of disasters almost always affect the crops which, in turn, adversely affects the availability of food and the pricing.  Many common foods have more than doubled price over the last few months due to so much damage and destruction.

Also, please pray for the continued outreach here in India.  All the Gospel tracts have been depleted.  Since writing you about this last, we’ve added another language to our printings!  But now we need to print again.  The cost is still approximately $650 for 100,000 copies in any of the languages.  If you would like to help with a printing, please let us know.  Thank you for your sacrifice!

A new congregation resulting from the literature distribution!
Just in recent days the last few copies of the tracts that I have carried with me in my Bible have been given away.  It’s wonderful to see the response in hearts who are hungry for life and hope.  More and more I’m seeing how God’s hand has been using this method of reaching untold numbers of souls.  We’ve already distributed more than 2 million tracts and the need is just as great now as it was when we began.  Please pray for this ministry!

Sincerely,

Beyond Frontiers
