Jerusalem first, then Judea, then Samaria...

Joyful parade of believers as they march through villages passing
out thousands of Gospel tracts.
Acts 1:8 is often preached as a missionary text.  In that verse Jesus told His disciples, "...And ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

While there are many emblematic ways to preach about the geographical list of places, the simple fact is that Jesus highlighted a progression in the preaching of the Gospel.  Whatever else you wish to say about it, in its most basic form we can see that the ministry of the Gospel should never be static.  We should always be moving forward.  We should always be advancing and like Paul, we must sense that there are always more and more places in which the name of Christ should be preached.

That's what the brothers and sisters in India are doing. One million tracts are being distributed over the state of Andhra Pradesh.  The results God has given are astounding and now the brethren are embarking on journeys to the neighboring state of Odisha (formerly Orissa) to help the churches there who are smaller.

The lower region is the birth place of this outreach.
Now ministry is extending outward to our northern
neighbors.
Odisha has seen much persecution over recent years and there is a strong sense of brotherhood that causes our people to want to go and support them as they evangelize their own!  That's what Jesus desires to see in His church, I believe.  We've sent them loaded with 200,000 tracts in that language and with many Bibles.  They'll be calling Sunday morning around 2:00 a.m. asking me to pray over the team as they launch out.  Would you also please join us as we ask God for anointing, power and safety?  The majority of the team is traveling farther away from home than most of them have ever travelled in their lives.  I think it is wonderful that they are doing this for the sake of the Kingdom of God.

Also I'd like to ask you to pray for the training and development of the pastors in India.  The need for a deeper relationship to Christ is greater now than ever before.  Please ask God to move powerfully among them.  A baptism of holy fire is necessary in bringing them all into a walk of purity and consecration.  That is what we are working and praying toward.  If you would join us, I know God will continue to bring it to pass as He has been doing.

The darkness seems so great.  But the light of Jesus Christ dispels all darkness! We thank you so much for your prayer and generous support.  May God bless you as you remember the work in India and around the world.
