Back to Village Ministry

Praise the Lord for the services today!  God is always good, but it was especially good to get to visit a tiny village tonight and see a group of people gather for service in under a simple shed roof.  Since villages like this one are filled with the poor farm laborers, houses are crammed together closely.  This is always a good thing for church services.

As usual, Indians cannot have a service without the PA system turned up to the maximum volume.  This made it easy to be heard by all the neighbors.  Many of the local men came and stood around outside listening.  They had to either move or go around the oxen that lay down chewing the handful of rice straw as the night closed in upon us.  But God came and ministered to many.  It's always good to see hearts open to Him.

I can tell I'm back to south India by the increase in the spice added to all the meals!  In the north it was somewhat moderated, but now I'm back to the "real world" of south Indian curry, chili peppers, and assorted liquid fires that are added to the food for good measure.

Tuesday I'll be heading toward the eastern sea coast for a Pastors' Conference with 100 men.  Please pray for God to move in hearts and lives there.
