2013 Bible Holiness Convocation Closes
God has moved in a very special way in the last few days. Some of you may have had the opportunity to be present for the Holiness Convocation. If so, you'll know that it was a great blessing each day. We thank God for opportunities like this to be strengthened, challenged and moved by the Spirit of God as He did His work among us.
I ask for your prayers today. As of today, I have two more itineration services scheduled and a Missions Convention to attend before departing for the field again in less than two weeks. This is an exciting time for us as we see some wonderful opportunities awaiting us. By God's grace, I'll be able to teach, train and challenge pastors not only in our regular place of ministry, but in many distant areas as well. From the very bottom of the nation almost to the northernmost part, we are going to be ministering this time to more pastors than ever before.
Some of these opportunities are brand new contacts that we've never made before. And I'm happy to say that some of the training sessions will be groups of pastors that have been affected by former graduates from previous training programs. It's a thrill to see God enlarging our field of labor!
Joshua 13
1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2 This is the land that yet remaineth:all the borders of the Philistines, and all....
The passage continues for many more verses describing in detail the land that still needs to be possessed. The borders are mentioned, the major landmarks are mentioned, the individual tribes and current residents are mentioned as well. God was very specific in informing Joshua of all that he yet needed to possess.
There is one thing that I noticed recently that stirred my heart: Every one of these territories have one thing in common. They are under the control of the enemies of God. Yes, each geographical area mentioned is ruled by people and religions and systems that are against the one true God. While that is not surprising, it is important.
God is telling Joshua that He wants him to go forth and possess ALL the lands mentioned. He wants Joshua, in spite of his old age, in spite of his weariness, in spite of his aches and pains, in spite of ANYTHING -- He wants Joshua to arise, and take what belongs to God! Hallelujah!
Likewise God is calling you and me to arise and set out with a new fervor and zeal to take the territories that Satan currently controls. We are to wrest control from him and deliver the souls that have been long enslaved. We are to do battle in the spiritual realm so that the eternal souls of men may be delivered from their imprisonment and be set free. Heaven is counting on us to labor and sacrifice until all that belongs to God shall be delivered back to His rightful control.
