Bro. Euclides and Sis. Fran

I recently received word from the dear pastor of the church we founded in Venezuela.  He stays in contact with us to let us know how things are going in the work there and to keep us in touch with the people.  God has blessed the church in spite of serious setbacks over the years, and many souls have been added to the Kingdom!  We praise the Lord for the faithfulness of Pastor Euclides and the confidence that I've always been able to have in him.

This was one of those rare occasions when he was really concerned about the circumstances in which he finds himself.  Actually, it is the circumstances in which he finds his wife who, likewise, has been faithful for these many years.  Throughout our years in Venezuela, she suffered from frequent kidney problems including large stones.   For at least three or four years now Sis. Fran has had an even more serious illness going on with her kidneys.  I don't know how many times doctors have planned to operate and yet every time they have cancelled the surgery.  The reasons have run the gamut between, "...the doctors are on strike...", "The hospitals are overrun...", "there are no supplies...", etc.  But her condition has not grown better but rather worse.

He is seriously concerned about her health and the damages that are being done to his wife's kidneys and other organs due to the severe swelling and the constant pain she is now under.  When he called me, he was finally going to try at a private clinic (as opposed to the government-run health care system that has miserably failed) in an effort to find help.   His heart was distressed because the surgery on her kidneys was expected to cost a little more than $4,000 (US$).  There are endless batteries of tests that they have already been through and he is hoping that with the records they have in hand, they can get quick attention before her condition worsens any more.

Bro. Euclides has always proven himself extremely dependable with finances and has asked me for help only once or twice in the many, many years we have worked together.  I shared with him that I would lay this need before God's people and see what God would do to help in this matter.

I am sorry if this seems forward.  I do not know what else to do but share the need with you and wait on the Lord.  I would like to help in this situation, but am unable to meet all the need.  If you would like to help Sis. Fran, please let us know through an email so that we may know how to inform Bro. Euclides at our next contact.  Thank you so much for your patience with me in the presentation of this need.

May God bless you,

Beyond Frontiers
