Water, Fever, and God's Work

A modern, international airport, yet Chennai is standing in water.  The airport has been closed for 5 days and another week of rain is set to fall.  It's the most rain they've seen in 100 years!

Four feet of rain in one month... All I can say is, "That's a lot of rain!" The church I visited on the first Sunday I arrived is now flooded. Hotels in town, if not flooded are now out of drinking and bathing water. Food is now running out. And still there's nowhere to go.

Flights are cancelled for several more days and international flights are changing to airports hundreds of miles away. It is a dilemma  indeed. Please pray that God will enable me to change to another departure city for next week's flight to the USA.

Our son's fever has continued.  At the moment of this writing, it has normalized, but we don't know what the afternoon will hold.  Please, continue to pray for his complete healing. There are new tests that have been ordered. We are waiting to hear the results of those.

God has blessed in the Pastoral Training meetings. Many continue to receive help and encouragement in their ministries. Pastors in India have been "raised" in a church culture that is foreign to American culture. That's not the problem. The big problem is that (like some American culture...) it's also foreign to Biblical culture.

Yet in spite of the tremendous flaws, there are so many Pastors who are hungry for God. Pray for the Lord to work mightily in their lives!
